Prep

  • review statements for:
  1. essential pieces of evidence
  2. corroboration with other witnesses
  • DON'T focus review on details of statement and background. It will come out naturally.

Questioning Style

  • allow witness to give an organic recitation of the events. There may be reason to interrupt, but exercise caution because it may prevent them from elaboration.
